Bonnie’s love of history began early, encouraged to learn about and appreciate our country’s past. Bonnie met her husband while both were serving as Army officers during Vietnam. After her Army service she earned a BA in History and Journalism at Long Beach State University, two teaching credentials and an MA in Educational Administration. Bonnie taught for 32 years in the areas of history and art and served terms as President of the Temecula Teacher’s Association and was Temecula teacher of the Year. Since retiring, Bonnie has served as President, and Board member of the Temecula Valley Historical Society, and President, Board member, and docent, for the Temecula Valley Museum. She has done numerous presentations, articles, and living history programs on local history. A musician and artist, she is committed to keeping alive and relevant the history, music and cultural heritage of those who came before us.
