Jeffery Harmon is President and a founding member of the Murrieta Valley Historical Society and the Murrieta Museum. He has previously served on the board of the Temecula Valley Historical Society and volunteered as a docent with the Temecula Valley Museum. He is also a founding member of the Historic Route 395 Association.

Harmon has made significant contributions to documenting and sharing the region’s history, authoring Tales of Southwest Riverside County and writing numerous articles for regional historical societies and publications. He has delivered many presentations on local history and has led walking tours of Historic Downtown Murrieta, helping to bring the area’s past to life for the community.

In addition to his historical work, Harmon serves as a certificated substitute teacher for the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. His enduring commitment to preserving and sharing the rich and diverse history of Riverside County aligns strongly with the mission of the Historical Commission.
