Step Back in Time at the 8th Annual San Timoteo Schoolhouse Fall Celebration

August 22, 2025 - Redlands, CA - The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) invites the community to celebrate local history at the 8th Annual San Timoteo Schoolhouse Fall Celebration, taking place Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the historic San Timoteo Schoolhouse, located at 31985 San Timoteo Canyon Road, Redlands, CA 92373.

This free, family-friendly event offers a rare opportunity to tour the beautifully restored 1883 one-room schoolhouse; one of three nationally-registered historic sites owned and operated by RivCoParks. Guests will enjoy guided tours, live “schoolmarm” lessons, and a variety of hands-on activities including pumpkin painting, fall crafts, a local history scavenger hunt, and maypole dancing. Attendees can also snap a photo in a historic stagecoach, enjoy live music, a flag-raising ceremony, and indulge in free popcorn and snow cones, with food trucks in attendance also.

“The San Timoteo Schoolhouse is a key piece of our history. I encourage everyone to stop by to learn more about our heritage in a fun and engaging way.” Riverside County Fifth District Supervisor, Yxstian Gutierrez.

Built in the 1880s and once the heart of this rural community, the San Timoteo Schoolhouse served students and families for decades and remains a vibrant symbol of the region’s heritage. The annual celebration aims to promote historical awareness, connect residents with local parks, and offer a fun-filled day for all ages.

Come explore, learn, and celebrate your community’s past, where history lives and fun begins!
