About Mayflower Park

The stunning Mayflower Park is situated alongside the remarkable Colorado River in Blythe, California, only 25 miles west of Quartzsite Arizona. The clear blue of the river mimics the beautiful blue skyline with spacious green grass nestled in between. With numerous water and land activities, finding something to do is never a problem.

​Mayflower Park is extremely accommodating with fishing, picnic and barbecue areas. The Park also has magnificent day and overnight use with 152 roomy RV sites with water and utilities, as well as 27 additional lovely dry camping sites. Mayflower Park is a one of a kind park with breathtaking open fields and gorgeous willowing trees perfectly placed along the dazzling Colorado River. The view alone is worth the visit, but the endless activities create lasting memories.

    Camping: $30-50 per night. See our fee card for more information.
    Day use: $6 per adult and $3 per child (12 and younger).
    Fishing: $10 per adult, per day and $8 per child (12 and younger), per day.

    Boat Launch: $7
    Sewage Dump Fee: (non-camper): $20.

    • Does Mayflower have adequately paved paths to accommodate persons with limited mobility?

    • MFL has paved paths to the kiosk entrance and restrooms.
    • What is the majority of the Day Use land like? (Paved, grassy, gravel, sandy, flat, bumpy, etc.)

    • Mayflower Day Use majority is grass, some areas are flat, and some are at an slope.
    • How shaded is the Day Use Area? Are there many shade trees in heavily trafficked areas?

    • We offer a wide variety of areas in Day Use that have shade trees, we also have shelters and cabanas that can be utilized.
    • What types of trails are within the park for walking, hiking, biking or horse riding?

    • The park does not have designated trails; however, we do have an Ecological reserve within walking distance and most guest explore our surrounding areas outside the park.
    • How many playgrounds are in the park?

    • No playgrounds are located on this site.
    • Are there any water-play features? What are the months and hours of operation?

    • At this time  the only water- play options are the Colorado River; great play time are May 1st – October 31st.
    • What activities are available in Mayflower Park?

    • Activities available are River-play ,Horseshoe, Lawn bowling (November-March) and Volleyball
    • How many shade structures/shelters are available in the park? How may picnic tables are under each?

    • MFL has 3 large shelters with 3 picnic tables and 9 cabanas with two picnic tables located throughout the park.
    • Does Mayflower have an on-site store?

    • Yes, Sandbar Shack is located within the kiosk. Hours of operation coincide with kiosk hours.
    • Do you currently sell CA State fishing licenses at Mayflower?

    • Mayflower does not sell CA State Fishing license. Licenses can be purchased at the following places in Blythe, CA. Browning’s Bullseye and Ace Hardware.
    • Are there laundry facilities on site?

    • There are no laundry facilities on site. There are laundry facilities within 10 miles form the park.
    • What campsites have the best shade?

    • Many of our campsites are shaded with trees please call the park for better assistance.
    • What sites are “good for children”? (Near restrooms, open areas, etc.)

    • All of are areas are family orientated areas. Campground A will place you close to the river, Campground B “quietest area” and Campground C will place you closest to the restrooms/showers.
    • Which sites offer some level of privacy?

    • A14 Most guest occupy end of the row spots or back of the row when looking for more privacy.
    • Which sites are best for tent camping?

    • MFL gives the guest the option to explore which campsite is best for their camping needs.
    • Can you tent camp in an electric/water site?

    • Yes, you can tent camp . Please note all rates still apply. Which sites ae closest to the river, and approximately how far?
    • Campground A (dry camping sites) are closest to the river about approx. 25 -30ft
    • Are there any exceptions to the 2 vehicle/2 tent maximum?

    • Yes. A fee may be applied for any additional vehicles. This can be evaluated upon arrival.
    • Do all sites have a BBQ/fire ring and picnic table?

    • All sites have picnic tables, please contact staff if you do not. ONLY Campground A and Day Use areas have BBQ grills. MFL has no fire rings. 
    • Are golf carts allowed in the park and/or campground?

    • Golf carts are allowed if driver is licensed, golf cart is registered and insured. Only operated in areas permitted by a vehicle. 
    • Is there a dump station available to campers on-site?

    • Yes. Located by the first trash enclosure.
    • What information is needed when registering into a campsite?

    • 1. Identification information 2. Vehicle information; for more assistance call (760) 922-4665.
    • How far away is the nearest grocery store and gas station?

    • All Grocery stores and gas station are approx. 10-15 miles from Mayflower Park.
    • What other activities are in the area, such as trails, movies, historical/natural sites, etc.?

    • Top sites in Blythe CA are:
    • Blythe Municipal Golf Course, Palo Verde Historical Museum, Blythe Intaglios, Hauser Geode      Beds ( Hiking) and Cibola National Wildlife Refuge.
    • What sores of animals/wildlife are common in the park?

    • Throughout the year these can be seen Owls, fascinating birds, gophers, ground squirrels, snakes, skunks, racoons, and coyotes.
    • What precautions should be taken to avoid unpleasant encounters with wild animals?

    • Do not feed, keep your distance, and keep your food covered or away when not at your     campsite.
    • Are there any animals that don’t belong in the park, and how should they be reported?

    • MFL does not have an entrance gate; please report stray animals to Ranger or Kiosk staff.
    • What are the boating rules and regulations for Mayflower?

    • MFL ask that you follow all boating safety rules which can be found on California Parks Division of Boating and Waterways.
    • We also ask all boaters to use caution when launching boats into the river. River conditions, including water speed, currents and river bottom conditions may pose hazards and may change at any time.

      Are other watercraft like jet skis or wave runners allowed on the river?

    • Yes. Please obey wake zone limits
    • Is swimming or waterskiing allowed in the river?

    • Yes.
    • Are there certain days of high and low river water levels?

    • Yes. Daily reports of the lower Colorado River can be found on the Bureau of Reclamation site at www.usbr.gov. (Friday reports are extremely low near Mayflower Park) always proceed with caution.
    • Do you offer Wi-Fi?

    • Yes, Wi-Fi is provided by Tengo Internet for a fee.

    Park Rules

    • Generators are not permitted at any time
    • Bicycle riders must wear helmet
    • Build fires only in provided BBQ’s in campsite A
    • No ground fires allowed
    • Drones are not permitted in the park
    • No more than 6 occupants and 2 vehicles per site
    • Maximum stay of 14 days within a 28-day period
    • No fireworks
    • No firearms
    • Do not remove, deface, or disturb any part of the park features or wildlife
    • Do not gather firewood in the park
    • Do not attach anything to trees
    • Pets must be kept on controlled leashes (Maximum leash length – 6 feet)
    • Do not leave pet(s) unattended
    • Clean up promptly after pet(s)
