Lake Skinner Boat Launch Reopens with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Bass Fishing Derby

January 27, 2026 - Temescal Valley, CA - Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) is proud to announce the official reopening of the boat launch at Lake Skinner Recreation Area with a ribbon cutting ceremony and bass fishing derby on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Operated by RivCoParks, Lake Skinner Recreation Area is a premier camping and outdoor destination spanning more than 8,800 acres in southwest Riverside County. Lake Skinner is home to a diverse range of fish species, including largemouth bass, striped bass, catfish, bluegill, and other panfish.

Grand Reopening of Kabian Park and Reserve

October 10, 2025 - Quail Valley, CA - The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) invites the community to the grand reopening of Kabian Park and Reserve, following the completion of extensive park renovations and amenity upgrades. A public ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 28001 Goetz Rd., Quail Valley, CA 92587. Riverside County First District Supervisor Jose Medina will join community members and RivCoParks staff to commemorate this milestone, followed by a ranger-led hike through the Reserve.

Step Back in Time at the 8th Annual San Timoteo Schoolhouse Fall Celebration

This free, family-friendly event offers a rare opportunity to tour the beautifully restored 1883 one-room schoolhouse; one of three nationally-registered historic sites owned and operated by RivCoParks.

RivCoParks Receives National Award for Veterans Mental Health Programming
